Capital Fund Management (CFM)

Founded in 1991, Capital Fund Management  (CFM) is specialized in developing trading strategies based on a global and quantitative approach to financial markets. CFM’s methodology relies on the in-depth statistical analysis and the modelization of terabytes of financial data for asset allocation, trading decisions and order execution. Research in the statistical properties of financial instruments and the development of systematic trading strategies are carried out at CFM by a team of Ph.D’s, most of them former physicists from prestigious international institutions, and a team of IT and Data specialists. In addition to carrying out research on new strategies, CFM researchers contribute to the advancement of knowledge in finance and economics and regularly publish academic articles.

De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) is the Dutch central bank and a member of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB). Its main goals are maintaining price and financial stability. DNB also supervises the Dutch banking sector, pension and insurance sector. Recently it also became the Dutch Resolution Authority.

ENGINEERING Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A. is an IT consulting firm with 50 sites distributed in Italy, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Republic of Serbia, South America and United States.

In January 2018 it was completed the acquisition of Fair Dynamcs, a consultancy firm which applies complexity analysis (involving agent-based models, discrete event models and systems dynamics approaches) in the consultancy of both private and public sector customers on issues such as logistics, supply-chain management and healthcare.

Italian National Institute of Statistics

The Italian National Institute of Statistics is a public research organisation. It has been present in Italy since 1926, and is the main producer of official statistics in the service of citizens and policy-makers. It operates in complete independence and continuous interaction with the academic and scientific communities.

ISTAT cooperates with Ca’ Foscari University of Venice through an exchange agreement to host interns for training and research (before and after graduation).

Oesterreichische Nationalbank (ONB)

Oesterreichische Nationalbank is the Central Bank of the Republic of Austria and a member of the Eurosystem.

Oesterreichische Nationalbank has an academically oriented research unit, the Economic Studies Division (Abteilung für volkswirtschaftliche Studien, VOSTA), which conducts theoretical and empirical economic research in financial stability and monetary macroeconomics.  The bank has access to relevant data, has an appropriate IT infrastructure, can provide office space for visiting researchers, runs a seminar and workshop series and has a library.

Regione del Veneto – Direzione Lavoro

The Regione del Veneto – Direzione Lavoro (Region of Veneto – Directorate of Labour) is an executive branch of the regional Ministry of education, training, labour and equal opportunities. Within the Area of Human capital and culture, the Directorate of Labour promotes employment, inclusion and the economic development of the region (youth employability, ESF active policies of labour, social and territorial inclusion of disadvantaged people, anti-crisis measures for companies and workers, apprenticeship, the recognition and validation of competences, the management of the territorial network of public and registered services of labour and training). The Directorate of Labour, during the last five years, has been also involved in several European projects/actions, focused on its core mission.

Talents’ Friends GmbH

Talents’ Friends GmbH (TalFr) was founded at the end of 2011 by three graduates from Bielefeld University: Alexander Bongartz , Philipp Möhlmeier  and Jan Philipp Platenius . The three founders got to know each other in a student consultancy and by working together on various consultancy projects for small and medium-sized companies.

“Talents’ Friends – Identifying talents, combining potentials and founding companies” – that is the slogan of TalFr. TalFr sees itself as an incubator which brings together investors and talented people with smart business ideas to jointly build up (internet) start-ups in the digital industry. So far, TalFr has established three business units / subsidiaries: “Deutscher Zahnarzt Service” (recruiting platform for dentists), “IT-Talents GmbH” (talent relationship platform to early connect small and medium sized companies with talented students from computer science) and “GGP Gesellschaft für Gesundheit und Personal mbH”  (personnel service provider for clinics and medical specialists). Since April 2013 TalFr is backed up and supported by several business angels (e.g. Hartmut Ostrowski, formerly Bertelsmann and Dr. Ralf Struthoff, formerly Moneybookers, Veolia and Lycos Europe). In a second round financing in June 2015, further business angels invested into TF (e.g. Dr. Thomas Bentz, formerly Melitta and Prof. Dr. Burkhard Schwenker, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants).
